"Mining for a Better Society"

Serbia Zijin Mining d.o.o. Bor is part of the large multinational mining corporation Zijin Mining Group, a world-renowned producer of copper, gold, zinc and lithium and one of the first Chinese mining companies that, with activities outside China's borders, had a great impact on global development in in line with the "Belt and Road" initiative.

It has been operating in Serbia since January 2019, when it took over the shares of the Canadian company Nevsun Resources and became the new owner of one of the richest ore deposits, Čukaru Peki. From a research company, it quickly grew into a real mining company.

During the two-year construction of the main facilities as well as supporting mining facilities, process technology, industrial equipment and technical performance indicators were set at a high international level. Production began in 2021. when the Čukaru Peki mine was officially put into operation.

Following the example on the Zijin Mining Group, an important player in the global mining industry, Serbia Zijin Mining strive to become green, high-tech, leading mining company in Serbia and Europe, and to contribute to overall economic growth and sustainable development.
